Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, explained

Published September 7, 2026

Twice a year, Ulta runs one of the biggest beauty sales in the U.S.: 21 Days of Beauty. For about three weeks, a rotating set of premium brands goes to roughly 50% off. It’s genuinely good — but it’s also fast, confusing, and easy to overpay on if you don’t know how it’s structured. Here’s the plain-English version.

What the event actually is

During the event window (typically late summer into September, and again in spring), Ulta discounts select products by about half. The catch is that the lineup changes constantly, so the moisturizer that’s 50% off today may be full price tomorrow. There are two very different types of deal, and knowing which is which is the whole game.

Daily Beauty Steals vs Weekly Beauty Steals

Daily Beauty Steals

These are the headline flash deals: a small set of products (often grouped by brand) at 50% off for one day only, from midnight to 11:59 p.m. Central Time. They rotate every single day and popular items sell out early. If you want a Daily Steal, you buy it that day — there’s usually no second chance at that price.

Weekly Beauty Steals

These run at about 50% off for a full week, not just a day. They’re less frantic: you have seven days to decide, and they’re a better fit if you can’t check the app at the exact right moment. When we post Ulta deals that will still be valid for several days, they’re almost always Weekly Steals.

Why it matters here: a one-day Daily Steal we post in the morning may be back to full price by tomorrow. That’s why our Ulta deals carry a check date and an expiry — and why a “steal” you see re-shared days later may already be over.

How to shop it without missing out

Where “50% off” isn’t the best price

Not every Steal is a record low. Value sets and holiday bundles sometimes beat a 50%-off single item on price per use, and a cult product might be cheaper during a sitewide event with a stacking code. Half off a good product is a solid deal; it just isn’t automatically the lowest it will ever be. A 30-second compare against the regular price and any current bundles keeps you honest.

How we cover it

We watch the event and post the Steals worth grabbing — with the brand, the checked price, and an expiry date so a one-day deal doesn’t linger after it’s dead. We link to the product on Ulta; Ulta handles checkout, shipping and returns. If you want to see what’s live right now, check the beauty deals on our board, and read how we check every price for what our date stamp means.
